Wade H. Hammond Sr., of Riverside, California was born August 14,1934 in Flomaton, Alabama and passed on January 31, 2023 at the VA hospital in Redlands, California. He started with his career in the Navy and was disabled in the Korean conflict.
After leaving the Navy, he returned to his hometown of Flomaton and proposed to Inez Odom and they eloped to Mexico and started their new lives in California. He worked hard and owned several businesses such as Farmers Insurance, ABS Bookkeeping and Tax Service. He also founded Delta Bookeeping and Tax Service. Wade H. Hammond Sr. ran his companies for over 50 years. Seventeen years ago he married Julie Nguyen. He leaves behind 5 sons and one daughter. Randall W Hammond Sr, Richard Hammond of Foley, Alabama. William Hammond of Opelika, Alabama. Michael Hammond of Century, Florida and Wade Hammond Jr. of Flomaton, Alabama and Emily Nguyen of Riverside, California. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Charlie Wade and Emma Hammond. Sister Pauline Kalstorf, Helen Lister, brothers Carl Hammond and Clarence Hammond. He leaves behind Brothers Bodie Hammond of Flomaton, Alabama and Ray Hammond of Century, Florida, sister Vera Hall of Pensacola, Florida. He leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
