March 23, 1970 – October 31, 2025
Tammy Paul was born on March 23, 1970, in Ohio to Rose Marie Paul and Russell Norman Paul. From the very beginning, she brought warmth and brightness into the world. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Tammy knew how brightly her light shined. Her unmistakable laugh, radiant smile, and open-hearted nature made every room feel fuller, warmer, and happier.
Raised in California, Tammy carried the spirit of her home state with her wherever life led. Her journey took her on many adventures, but one constant remained, her love for music and the friendships she nurtured along the way. Music wasn't just a pastime for Tammy; it was the soundtrack of her life, a bridge to others, and a source of joy she freely shared with everyone she met.
In her later years, Tammy discovered a passion that would define a new chapter of her life: truck driving. Through her work, she traveled across the United States, seeing the country she loved and forming connections from coast to coast. Though she didn't take many vacations, the open road became her place of freedom and discovery. She embraced new places, met countless people, and formed friendships that became family.
Tammy will forever be remembered for her love of '80s music, her vibrant personality, her contagious laughter, her boundless kindness, and her deep faith and love for God. Though her body faced challenges on earth, her soul remained one of the purest and gentlest anyone could ever encounter. She touched countless lives with her compassion, humor, and her gift for making others feel seen and loved.
Her faith was a constant source of strength. Her daily devotionals brought her comfort and reminded her of life's beauty and the immeasurable value of friendship. She loved freely and wholeheartedly. Those closest to her will always hear her familiar terms of endearment, "Absolutely," "Mamason," "Papason," "Big Handsome," and "Big Handsome Junior", nicknames she for the people who meant the world to her.
After spending more than eight years in her birth state of Ohio, Tammy returned to California to be near her childhood friends, her chosen family. Without warning, she was called home and given her angel wings on October 31, 2025. Though her passing came as a heartbreaking shock, there is comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved brother Mark and sister Michelle. Just weeks before falling ill, Tammy shared a dream in which Mark described a peaceful, beautiful place and called out to her. Now, she rests in that same peace.
Those who loved Tammy are left with an ache that words cannot fully express, but also with the solace of knowing her spirit is free from pain. Her laughter, kindness, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Tammy Paul will be deeply missed, but she will never be forgotten. Her legacy of love, joy, and compassion will continue to shine, absolutely. "You know what I'm saying."
