Stephan Eric Holmes passed away August 7th, 2018 in San Bernardino.
Stephan was a man of a few passions, but when he loved something, he went all out. He was a mechanic, and would DIY everything. He loved making sure his kids knew that they never needed to call a professional when he was around to teach them how to do it themselves. He owned every tool under the sun in his garage.
He loved reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, a passion passed on to his daughter. His favorite authors were Anne McCaffrey and Piers Anthony. His collection of books is extensive and his daughter looks forward to inheriting them.
He also loved movies and TV, his favorite genres being fantasy, sci-fi, action and suspense, which is a passion he passed on to his son. Again, his personal collection was one to always astound.
He had a great passion for food, but some of his favorites include steak and potatoes, fish and chips, noodles and luncheon meat (an egg noodle, cheese, spam and cream of mushroom soup casserole), horse radish, and lemon wedges with the peel still on.
Finally, his greatest passion was his family. He loved each and every one of them and his family is thankful he was able to see both of his children successful and thriving, knowing they would be able to take care of his wife, their mother in his stead. He and his corny jokes and "oookay fines" will be greatly missed.
Stephan is survived by his loving family, wife Atsuko of over 3 decades, his children, daughter Stephanie Keiko Flanagan, and son Eric Ken Holmes, and grandson Julian Sora Flanagan, born Aug 13, 2018.
