Simone "Sonny" DiTrapani, 75, of Redlands, CA. passed away Thursday, September 2019, surrounded by his loving family at Redlands Community Hospital in Redlands, CA.
Sonny was born January 8, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph and Gertrude DiTrapani of Palermo, Sicily.
On August 20, 1978, he married his beautiful wife Coy, in the city of Pasadena, CA. Sonny was a long time professional musician and accomplished jazz guitarist. He enjoyed weekly family dinners, watching movies, and taking leisurely drives. Sonny was also a family-man that loved spending time with his children, and grandchildren, whenever he could.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Coy; four children, Tammy, Joe, John, and Dean; four grandchildren, Justin, Sophia, Avery, and Bailey; and brother, John DiTrapani. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gertrude "Gertie."
Sonny will be missed by all those who were blessed to have known and love him.
