Rosemarie Ann Kerr, 80, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on March 16, 2015, after nearly a year of battling numerous health issues. Funeral Services will be held at Hawk Ranch in Murrieta on March 25 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Russ Yankie officiating. Sunset Funeral Care of Redlands is handling the funeral and cremation arrangements.
Rosemarie was born in Brooklyn, NY to Dominick and Mildred Jovino on March 7, 1935. She was the 2nd of four children; older sister Gloria, younger brother Vincent, and sister Joan. Rosemarie graduated from Bay Ridge High School in 1952. As a young girl she enjoyed painting, drawing, and dancing, and she continued to pursue those interests throughout her life. After graduation, Rosemarie worked at May's Department Store where she quickly rose to the position of Assistant Personnel Director. In 1955 she met the love of her life, James Kerr, at a roller skating rink in Brooklyn. They were married a year later, started a family, and moved to Orange County, CA, in the summer of 1964.
Though Rosemarie spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker taking care of their 5 children, she also possessed a very special gift. At the tender age of 4 years old, her family realized that Rosemarie possessed psychic abilities. Throughout her life, Rosemarie used her incredible abilities as a psychic medium to help families locate missing loved ones, and she also worked with numerous law enforcement agencies to help solve cold cases and bring murderers to justice. One notorious murder case she worked on became a book by Joseph Bosco titled Blood Will Tell.
Rosemarie was raised a devout Catholic and her faith in God remained unwavering her entire life. For many years she and James were residents of Harmony Grove, a spiritualist community in Escondido, CA, and Rosemarie became ordained as a Reverend. She presided over services in Harmony Grove and later started her own church in Escondido called "The Open Door."
Rosemarie's main priority was her family above all else. She loved her children and her grandchildren immensely, and nothing delighted her more than large family gatherings with everybody present. Rosemarie is preceded in death by her parents, Dominick and Mildred, and her older sister Gloria.
She is survived by her husband James; brother Vinnie; sister Joanie (Eddie) Cruz; son James; son Christopher (Carla); son Joseph (China); daughter Rosemarie; son Nicholas (Kim); and her 8 beloved grandchildren: Sara, Christopher, Rosemarie, Devlin, Joseph, Roxanne, Dominick, and Christina.
