Ronald Eugene Cooper, 63, passed away on August 30, 2022, at St. Francis
Medical Center in Lynwood,CA.
Ronald was born December 7, 1958 to Gary Daniel Cooper Sr. and Cecelia Lucretia
Cooper(Fawcett). Ronald was the second child and son of 10 children born to the
couple.
Ronald's early education was from St. Malachy Elementary and St. Frances X.
Cabrini Elementary. His early interests and hobbies included model building,
guitar playing, urban fashion and music. He built models that dealt with military
themes. He wore fashionable clothing from early 70's stressing moccasin style
jackets, pants, and shoes. He would hot comb his hair and wear mirror lens
sunglasses. He has collected many guitars and stringed instruments.
He attended Verbum Dei High School, where he met his life long friends the
Healey brothers. His Interest in the military would lead him to enlist and
Honorably serve in the U.S. Army. During this time he married Allena Gibbs. Out
of this union came their daughter and only child, our Beautiful Janaye.
Through his life, Ronald has worked many different jobs from security to
equipment rental. His last major employment was with LA Unified. He has been a
parishioner of St. Frances X Cabrini Church since grade school, and was part of
their choir from time to time.
Ronald's recent years have been shared with his fiancé Joyce Oliver.
Together they have combined their respective families into a loving single family
unit, of which he was very proud to be a part of. He took active role in their lives,
loving, assisting, guiding and providing.
He is survived by the Love of His Life, Joyce, who has kept our brother shrouded in
love from the day they met. He is survived by his daughter Janaye, who shows
daily the great love her father has taught and given her. He is survived by the
Oliver family, who early approved of His and Joyce's love, but would also grow to
accept his love and concern for their daily lives.
Ronald leaves behind 9 siblings, eight of whom are younger than he, so he has
Taught many much. He leaves behind a most loving group of men, his brothers, David,
Benjamin, George, Gary, Paul and Steven. He leaves behind 3 of the most beautiful women
I know, his sisters Theresa, Jeanine and Alesia. Ronald is the first sibling of the family to
transition to eternal life.
