Obituary

ROGER WILLIAM RICHCREEK died July 18, 2014 at the VA hospital in Loma Linda, CA, at the age of 67, surrounded by his family. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served two tours of duty as a Navy Corpsman assigned to support the Marine Corp (1967-1971). He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service for 38 years, where he worked in many capacities, including Smoke Jumper, Hot Shot and Law Enforcement Officer (28 years). He retired in 2010. He was also a community college instructor at Citrus College in Glendora. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda and their five children, Shawn, Heather, Sarah, Lisa, Benjamin and seven grandchildren. He was a family man who loved nature, westerns, gardening, and reading novels by James Michener and Louis L'Amour. He was dearly loved by all who knew him. His memorial will be held on Friday, August 1st, 2014 at 11AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 23300 Old Lake Dr., Moreno Valley, CA, followed by graveside services held at the Riverside National Cemetery, at 2:15pm.
