Robin Wade Shidler, 77, of San Bernardino (and later Apple Valley, CA), passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. Born on August 6, 1947, in San Bernardino, CA, to Leonard and Iris Shidler, Robin lived a life marked by dedication to his family, community, and profession. His larger-than-life personality and boundless energy were felt in every room he entered.
An accomplished real estate broker, property manager, and the owner of Shidler Development Inc., Robin was a respected leader in the real estate industry. His vision and dedication helped shape the landscape of the Apple Valley area, establishing him as a pillar of the community.
Robin's first two children, Scott (Holly) Shidler and Wendy (Jason) Moskowitz, were born from his marriage to his first wife, June. In later years, Robin married Sally, with whom he shared a deep bond, and the remaining 42 years of his life. Together, they raised Jonathan (Rebekah) Shidler, Hannah (Jake Wertheim) Shidler, and Joseph Shidler. His eight grandchildren—Cosette, Izak, Caden, Cameron, Shay, Annica, Gideon, and Henry—were a constant source of pride, and Robin delighted in spending time with them.
Robin is also survived by his brother Ronald (Sheryl) Shidler and his sister Hollee (Jon) Neff, as well as his nieces and nephews Karen, Russell, Anthony, and Makayla. His family and friends will always remember his generous spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering support.
Robin will be remembered for his wild, passionate spirit and his unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. His deep love for his family and his unique way of filling life with energy and adventure will leave a lasting legacy.
A celebration of Robin's life will be held on Friday September 27th, 2024 in Redlands, CA. Specific location and time pending. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robin's memory to either the Redlands Sunrise Rotary Club or Rescue Task Force. His legacy of love, integrity, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
