Richard, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2017, surrounded by his family at Redlands Community Hospital.
Richard was born in Los Angeles, California on October 29, 1929 to Lester Dorsey and Mary Colette (Maloney) Dorsey. He has been a resident of Calimesa for the past 45 years and worked as a ceramic tile installer and estimator.
Since childhood, Richard developed a talent and passion for singing. During the early days of black & white television he made several appearances on the Al Jarvis Talent Show. For many years he enjoyed singing with the choir at St. Frances X Cabrini Church. He was also an avid golfer and outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife Anne, former wife Connie, and sister Kathleen Callaway. He is survived by son Bryan Dorsey, and stepsons Robert McCullough & William McCullough. Richard is also survived by his sister Shirley Carper, and brothers Ron Dorsey, Ray Dorsey, & Tom Dorsey.
A Celebration of Life service for Richard will take place at St. Frances X Cabrini Church in Yucaipa on December 28, 2017.
Viewing and Rosary at 10:30 AM, Service at 11:00 AM.
Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands, at 2:30 PM.
