We regretfully announce the passing of Rebecca "Becky" Ann Mertes of Yucaipa on March 24th 2024. Becky was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. She was 48 years old.
Becky was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Becky graduated from Fontana High School in 1994. After graduating, she went on to be a homemaker, raising her two daughters whom she was immensely proud of.

In 1994, Becky met her husband of (however many years) William "Willie" Mertes and together they went on to have 2 children, Kaylee Mertes and Isabella Mertes. Becky was a wonderfully giving and loving mother who gave everything she had to her family, blood or not. Becky leaves behind a space in their hearts that will be impossible to fill.

Becky was predeceased by her Mother: Cathryn Ann "Cathy" Borjan and Grandparents: William and Eleanor Clark & Michael and Lena Borjan. She is survived by her Husband; Willie Mertes, Daughters; Kaylee and Isabella, Father; Gary Borjan Sr., Brothers; Gary Borjan Jr. and Bill Borjan (Megan Borjan), Niece and Nephew; Hank and Charlotte Borjan, all of her "adopted" children and the many lives Becky touched with her generosity.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date determined by family.
