Patti Ashton of Fontana, California passed away on January 18, 2020 at the age of 64. Patti was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Patti most recently served as an education funding specialist serving K-12th grade facilities in the Inland Empire. She has contributed to the Inland Empire educational system for the last 35 years

Patti is survived by her husband of 45 years, Skip Ashton; her daughter Trisha Merdalo (Brandon); sons Dennis Ashton (Sarah) and Jeff Ashton (Sarah); her mother Jo Burnett; sisters Karyn Liabeuf and Debbie Eagan; grandchildren Julia, RJ, Jackson and Ben. Patti is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that have touched her life throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Burnett and brother Larry Burnett.

A memorial service for Patti will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11am at Redlands United Church of Christ located at 168 Bellevue Ave., Redlands, California. A reception will immediately follow. During the service, the family invites anyone who would like to share a memory of Patti to contribute. There will be an opportunity to share. Patti's passion was time with her family and those she loves. In lieu of flowers, please consider using that money to make one more memory with those you love.
