With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Mary Rocha, 76, of Nuevo (and later Hemet), California passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024.
Born on February 18, 1948, in Los Angeles to the parents of Bernardine Stough and Dan Stough.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda (David) Ranslem, niece Lisa Gutierrez, and son in law Richard Gil.
Mary is survived by her children: Kathleen Rocha-Gil, Charlie (Scott) Earl, Christy (Dave) Van Houten, and Al (Gabi) Rocha; her grandchildren: Christian, Josh, Jacob, Caleb, Sammie, Natalie, and Joanna; and also, her niece, Laura Haiby.
Mary attended John Marshall High School in Los Angeles. Thanks to her Aunt Kate, she enjoyed working at the Los Angeles Zoo and Travel Town in her younger years. In the early 1970's, she worked at Kmart, where she met her husband of 14 years and father of her children, Al Rocha. Mary then proudly worked for Stater Bros. for 24 years until her retirement in October 2010, as Seafood Manager at Store #180 in North San Jacinto.
Mary loved her family unconditionally and worked tirelessly to provide for her four children. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and sneaking them peanut butter cookies.

Celebration of Life will be held in the coming months.
