Vaughn, Lida Dixon Linn Age age 96, died at the home of Walter and Gayle Linn in Highland, CA on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She spent the last days of her life continuing her love for music by playing the piano and singing her favorite hymns and popular songs. She was born July 23, 1917, in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated from Sunset High School. A long-time member of Calvary Baptist church in Oak Cliff, she was the 3rd grade Sunday School Teacher for over twenty years. Lida loved people and people loved Lida! Survivors 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 11 3/4 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by first husband Hal Linn; second husband Wendell Vaughn; father Claude Dixon, mother Nell Hindman, and siblings Mildred Cearley, Delora Edwards, Dorothy Johnson, and Buddy Dixon. The family has planned a private memorial service where there will be much celebration, laughter, great singing and very fond memories.
