Obituary

Beloved Husband, father and grandfather Leonard Phillips, 84, of Yucaipa departed this life on January 18, 2015 in Hemet. He was born on August 24, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee to Vienia and Lee Phillips.
Leonard was a Private First Class in the Army from 1951-1953. Throughout his life he was a switchboard operator in Kodiak, Alaska and a Crater Packer for McDonnell Douglas from 1966-1981.
Leonard married the love of his life, Molly, on March 31, 1951 in Hernando, Mississippi. Together they had four children, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was a good, hardworking person. He took care of his family. He loved fishing, camping and country music. He loved all sports, especially the Angels.
He will be forever missed by his wife Molly; his children: Rhonda Phillips, Katherine Phillips, and Donna Phillips; his siblings: Normal Phillips, Hazel Phillips, Theastel Phillips, Wilma Phillips, Shirley Phillips and Patricia Phillips; as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter Wanda Phillips.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:30 A.M.. He will be greatly missed by all. Sunset Funeral Care is entrusted with the arrangements.
