Obituary

Laura Helleren Hancock was born November 12, 1940 in New York, New York, Laura grew up in Redondo Beach, California after moving from New York at the age of seven and then spent many years in Torrance.
Laura received her Bachelors degree in Business Marketing from California State University Dominguez Hills. She married her husband, Bob, and moved to Rancho Palos Verdes, where they made a home and life together for 24 years. In retirement, they moved to Redlands, California and this is where they spent their final days until Laura passed on February 6, 2024.

Laura was passionate about animals and their welfare. She was also involved in the Assistance League in Palos Verdes and Redlands. She donated many hours to fundraising, volunteering at their gift shop and the low cost dental clinic that the Assistance League provides to the community. She also proudly volunteered with the League of Women Voters.

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Bob; her children Karen Brandt (Sue) and Paul Lambros; Step children: Charlie Hancock (Alice La Pierre), Elizabeth Hancock Ungerleider (John), and Robert P. Hancock (Christine Terry); Grandchildren: Emily Brandt, Jacob and Isaiah Ungerleider, Jamez Terry; Great-Grandchildren: Sabastian and Jesiahlynn. She was preceeded in death by her step daughter Amelia Hancock.

A graveside service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park on Friday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM.
