Josie Cano, Our dear sweet Mama, born August 3, 1931 to Carmelino and Nancy Filippini, passed away in her sleep on April 21, 2018. As a lifelong resident of San Bernardino, she married the love of her life, Tony "Sporty" Ramos Cano on December 3, 1949 and raised 6 children together. Josie touched the lives of her family and friends by being a beautiful person with a kind and gentle heart, sweet smile, warm disposition, and endless supply of hugs. She could have had any career she wanted, but she chose to dedicate her life to her family. We were blessed with such a loving and caring Mama. Her love of God and faith were evident by her words and actions. She is survived by her siblings (Nancy Avila, Rosemary Avila, and John Montana), her children (Caroline Walton, Sarah Bunten, Bernadine Delaney, Mary Ann Cano, and Tony Cano), 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Proceeding Josie in death are her parents, step father (Serefino Montana), siblings (Erma Adame, Teresa Adame, Olivia Serrano, Carmelino Filippini, Edward Montana, and Tom Montana), loving husband (Tony Ramos Cano), and her eldest daughter (Elisabeth Karper).
