Jesus Sanchez Aguirre, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, was born on January 30, 1934, and passed away peacefully at his home on November 1, 2025. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones during the last days and moments of his life.Jesus was born in Tijuana B.C., Mexico, to Bernardo and Benita Aguirre, one of five children. At the age of nineteen, he moved to California, where he soon met his future wife, Lily Cabral Ontiveros. They were married on May 22, 1954, beginning a remarkable union that lasted 63 years until Lily's passing in 2017.Jesus had a productive career in the citrus industry, which flourished in the Inland Empire from the fifties through the seventies. He later worked for Richmond Technology in Mentone, California, as a skilled machinist, retiring in 1999.A humble soul, Jesus took immense pride in his family and his life's accomplishments. These milestones included serving six years in the U.S. Army, completing a college-level education, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen, purchasing a home for his family, and being one of the first of his contemporaries to own a color television.He instilled in his children a strong work ethic, pride in one's roots, and profound gratitude for what can be achieved through struggle, grit, and determination.Jesus is survived by his five devoted children: Lorraine Aguirre (David Ordaz), Linda Pla (David Pla), Lisa Willis (Eric Ayala), Paul Aguirre (Maria Aguirre), and Lenny Aguirre ; his siblings, Angel Aguirre, Luis Aguirre, and Alicia Aguirre Tamayo. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his ever-faithful companion, his dog, Floyd.The love that his children and family have for him will endure through his death, as he will forever live in their hearts and cherished memories.
