Obituary

James Robert ("Bob") Miller, 93, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. Born on August 30, 1932, in Georgetown, Texas, Bob was the son of Hazel Jean Miller (Fikes) of Granger, Texas, and Brazil Osborn Miller of Texas.

Bob married the love of his life, Pauline Miller (Fiance), on April 25, 1959, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they built a strong and loving family. He was the proud father of three children: Duane Miller (born 1960), Shari Stockwell (born 1962), and Dale Miller (born 1960), who preceded him in death in 1983. Bob was also preceded in death by his brother and sister, Bobby and Eva Miller.

A graduate of Granger High School in the Class of 1949, Bob went on to attend Navarro Junior College. He took a break from college for a term in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he worked on electrical systems for communication and missile equipment. After the Army, Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University. Bob then enjoyed a distinguished career as an electrical engineer, again working on missile technology, with Northrop Grumman/TRW, where he was respected for his expertise, dedication, and innovation.

Bob was a proud member of the Masons in Texas and also belonged to the Elks Lodge. Outside of work, he had a lifelong passion for technology. He loved building and programming personal computers and was always happy to repair and troubleshoot PCs for family and friends.

Bob will be remembered for his intelligence, his generous spirit, and his unwavering devotion to his family.
