Gloria Angeline Bolton, 95, long-time resident of Redlands, CA passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Gloria was born in Riverside, California on December 25th, 1929, a beloved daughter to Louie and Josephine Espinosa. She grew up in a close-knit loving family with 4 other siblings. She graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School in 1947 and attended Riverside Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in Business and Office Studies. She would work all of her life until retirement in 2007. Her career included working at North American Aviation in Long Beach, Hunter Douglas in Riverside, Riverside Community Hospital, Burr Brown Electronics in Tucson, Arizona, and eventually a long career in civil service working as a buyer and contract specialist at Norton Air Force Base (13 years) and March Air Force Base (13 years). She met the love of her life, Joseph Clare Bolton, when she was set up on a blind date in 1961. They were married at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Riverside, California in 1962. They began their family in 1963 when they had their first child, David Joseph Bolton and then followed up a few years later with their son, Michael, and daughter, Susan Marie. In 1976, the family suffered a tragedy when David was hurt in a car accident and would live the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Joe and Gloria were devoted, loving parents who would provide care for 45 years.

Gloria found joy in visiting with family and friends and putting her time and passion into her hobbies including lawn bowling, lane bowling, playing piano, reading, singing karaoke, dancing, and going to movies. She had a very busy social life with a wonderful close group of friends who would meet for lunch and dinner gatherings at The Tartan, Uncle Howie's Pizza, the Elks Club, and Coco's.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Bolton-Johnson of Mentone; son-in law, Nick Johnson; grandson, Joseph Johnson; her brother, Harold Espinosa of Maryland; sister, Shirley Bock Cooper of Seattle, Washington; brother, James Espinosa of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews who gave her so much joy and love throughout the years.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clare Bolton in 1992; her son Michael Bolton in 1968; her son, David Joseph Bolton in 2022; her parents, Louie (2004) and Josephine (1974) Espinosa and brother, Richard Espinosa (2021).

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Redlands. A celebration of life reception will follow at the Lugonia Fountain Mobile Estates clubhouse in Redlands, CA. Gloria will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Riverside National Cemetery.
