Edna Hjorth, 91, departed this life on November 22, 2014 at her residence in Redlands. She was born June 13, 1923 in Long Beach, California to Edith and Frank Weld.
Edna proudly graduated from Stanford University and went on to become a Registered Nurse. Long after retirement, she continued to proudly renew her license. In recent years she was a docent at the Living Desert Reserve and a member of California Women for Agriculture, P.E.O, Sweet Adelines and the John Tracy Clinic.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Leslie Ann Hjorth; and her brother Robert Aunger Weld. She will be deeply missed by her children: Nancy Hjorth Ward and Frank William Hjorth; her grandchildren: Brewer Ward III, Johann Gustaf Ward, Kristiana Linn Jackson, Kelly Ann Belangeri, Beth Katherine Ellis, Kip WIlliam Hjorth, Alona Courney Lay; and 10 great grandchildren.
All services are being currently pending. She will be greatly missed by all. Sunset Funeral Care is entrusted with the arrangements.
