Obituary

Dorothy Marie Wilson was born on June 12, 1934 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Hattie and Paul Davis. She passed away on April 14, 2016 in Apple Valley, California surrounded by her family.

After her father passed away, Dorothy was loved and raised by Max Dean. Dorothy attended Guthrie High School and graduated in 1952. Dorothy met and married her life love, JD and they married on November 5, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had 4 four children. She was in charge of Patient Accounts for Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino, CA from 1956-1959. In the 1960's she was vice president of one of the largest Real Estate firms in Southern California. In 1971 JD and Dorothy purchased a hotel, Silver Pines Chalet in June Lake, California and operated that until 1980. In the 1980's she was a Real Estate Secretary and Office Manager.
JD and Dorothy both supported the Girl Scouts of America, Law Enforcement and many Veterans Associations. She was a member of the June Lake Chamber of Commerce until 1980. They both received numerous honors and special achievements for their dedication and hard work. They also received recognition for their commitment to the community.
Dorothy had a strong relationship with God. JD and Dorothy were very dedicated to family and to each other. They were dedicated to helping people improve and better themselves. They "adopted" many orphaned children and adults, becoming the parents they needed. They were the couple that were loved wherever they went. They did not want to live without each other. They are a beautiful love story.
Dorothy will be forever missed by her family but she so missed her husband that she joined him just 10 days after his own death. She is survived by her children: John Owen Wilson, Vici Miller, Pamyla Marie Dewitt, Michael Joseph Wilson. Her siblings Maxine Busbee and Robert Dean, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She LOVED them all.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at Miramar National Cemetery.
