Donald Dean Ray, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away
on January 4, 2019 in Redlands, CA at the age of 84. Don graduated from
Iowa State College in 1958. He served in the Navy before returning to the
family dairy farm in Preston, MN. Don then began a long career in finance,
as an auditor for Bourns, Inc. (Riverside, CA) and as a Certified Public
Accountant.
He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge of
Minnesota. Don is survived by his wife, Ruth Talbott Ray; his brother Darrel Ray (Lois); his sister Maxine Linstroth; his daughters Darla Ray and Nancy Talbott; his sons Drew Ray, Greg Talbott (Cheryl) and Jeff Talbott; his grandchildren Jaclyn Rentz (Patrick), Winn Frazin, Taryn Kelley (Jason), Kristie Leivas (Jim), and Laura DiConti (Stephan); seven great grandchildren; and many loved family members and dear friends in
California, Iowa, and Minnesota. Don was preceded in death by his
daughter Darcy, and his parents Merlyn and Jennie Ray of Preston, MN.
Interment services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van
Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA on January 18, 2019 at 9:45 AM, followed by a
remembrance reception at 11:30 at The Kendall House, Plymouth Village,
120 E. Palm Ave., Redlands, CA (at the corner of Palm Ave. and Salem
Drive).
