Obituary

Dennis Leroy Trimble, 82, of Moreno Valley passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Born
on October 11, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dennis was the son of Ledru Willard Trimble
and Pearl Gladys Trimble. Dennis's life was defined by dedicated service to the Lord Jesus
Christ, which was reflected in his family life, work ethic, and relationships.

With quiet humility, those who knew Dennis would never have known all the outstanding
achievements he had gathered throughout his long and decorated military career. Early on,
Dennis's high intellect was evident when he was chosen by the Air Force to attend Yale
University, where he learned and became fluent in the Mandarin Chinese language. Dennis
later went on to earn his master's degree, with an emphasis in economics, from Webster
University.

Even though Dennis was offered a commission by the U.S. Air Force, he opted to decline for
family reasons and remained among the non-commissioned officer ranks. He achieved the
rank of Chief Master Seargent (CMSGT E9), the highest rank an enlisted member of the Air
Force can obtain. Only the top 1% of enlisted personnel ever achieve this rank. Dennis
retired from the Air Force on June 30, 1987, having faithfully served his country on active-duty status for 27 years. However, his service to our nation did not end there. Dennis went on to serve an additional 21 years as a civilian employee and consultant for the Air Force, retiring for the final time at the age of 75, on June 30, 2018. For a combined total of 48 years of service to his beloved country.

Dennis was a man of deep faith who served as an elder in his church, as well as praise and
worship and small group Bible study leader. Dennis was not only a vocalist on the worship
team, but also a life-long accomplished jazz flautist. He would often be seen playing his
flute and singing in church. Dennis and his wife of 62 years, Ok Son (Sandy) Trimble, served
for many years alongside each other as members and leaders in their church. Their years of
service to the Lord through their local church continued both during and after Dennis's long
military career. Dennis and Sandy were always together.

Dennis was a devoted and loving family man, who enjoyed the intimate and simple
pleasure of being at home, chatting with family and friends, and heartily eating a homemade Korean style meal lovingly prepared by his wife. Whether entertaining friends or
family, or playing a game of Canasta or Progressive Rummy, Dennis's easy-going and
friendly personality always made everyone feel welcome and at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ledru Willard Trimble and Pearl Gladys Trimble,
and his siblings, Maurcette A. Widel-Range and Michael Richard Trimble and his son, Barry
John Trimble.

Dennis's legacy as a man of God and patriot of this country cannot be overstated. His
presence will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his three children: Gloria Sue Trimble-Hughes (b. 1964), Donna Denise McInturff (b. 1967), and Sandra Pearl
Berry (b. 1969), as well as his three sons-in-law, Steven Hughes, Roy McInturff, and Ron
Berry. His enduring legacy will live on through his children, four grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
