It is with immense sadness, the Felarca family announces the passing of our beloved Charles "Chuck/Chuckie Boy" Felarca Jr. on May 8, 2020 at Redlands Community Hospital.
Born on June 25, 1957 to Mary and Charles Felarca Sr, a native to Redlands, CA. he was a graduate of Redlands High School in 1975.
Chuck married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Maria (Viveros) Felarca, on March 26, 1977. Together they spent an amazing 43 years married, building a life and family together.
At the age of 26, Chuck enlisted into the United States Air Force. He proudly served all over the world for over 20 years and was stationed in places such as: March AFB (Moreno Valley, CA), Andersen AFB (Yigo, Guam), and Cannon AFB (Clovis, NM).
Chuck fought in both Desert Shield and Desert Storm, as well as served during 9/11. During his enlistment, Chuck was awarded many medals and ribbons among which are the Air Force Commendation Medal (with two oak clusters), and the Air Force Achievement Medal (with four oak clusters). In Guam, the Governor issued a proclamation in his name for community service to Simon Sanchez HS.
After his retirement in 2003, Chuck continued to work alongside the service members of March ARB as a civilian contractor until the time of his passing.
Chuck took the most pride in his family. A loving and devoted husband, dad, son, Papa, brother, and friend, he was the anchor that kept everyone together. He never went a day without showing us all his love. Whether with his smile or laughter, he knew how to brighten your day.
As Mayor of his neighborhood, Chuck never came across anyone who did not feel his joy or experience his charisma. He will truly be missed by all.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father and brother, Franklin.
Chuck is survived by his wonderful wife Maria, and their three loving sons: Charles III (42), Aaron (37), and Andrew (33), a grandson, and three granddaughters.
