Carol Sue Manus died Aug. 12, 2015. She was born Sept. 18, 1946, in St. Paul, Min­nesota, the first of four girls born to Charles and Rose Marie McLane.

Carol Sue grew up traveling with her family and lived in Germany, Cyprus, the Philip­pines and Greece.

It was in Athens, Greece where she met Michael Manus, the love of her life. They married Nov. 5, 1966 and eventually settled in California. They have two sons; Chuck and his wife Patty and Jason, who presented her with the most beautiful and loving granddaughter possible - Chloe Rose Manus, who gave Carol Sue such special joy and love.

In addition to her husband Mike; sons Chuck and Jason; granddaughter Chloe, Carol Sue is survived by her three sisters; Dede (husband Al) in Hoffman, Minnesota, Bev (husband Buff) in Ontario, Calif., and Jo Ann in San Antonio, Texas; her niece Erika and nephews; James and Michael and Jason's fiancee Maria and Maria's two daughters Brianna and Emma. She also had a very special connection with her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Snookie and Cyril Manus.

Carol Sue retired from the County of San Bernardino after 31 years. She enjoyed her retirement with Mike, who retired at the same time.

Carol Sue found peace and comfort late in her life at Wildwood Calvary Church in Yucaipa, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
