Beverly June Verhoeven, 82, went to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was born October 30, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA. Her family moved to Redlands in 1941. She attended Redlands Christian School, Upland Academy and the Reformed Bible Institute in Grand Rapids, MI. After teaching in New Mexico and Illinois, she moved to Hanford, CA to teach. It was there she met Herman and they were married on July 22, 1960. They were blessed with four children. Building on the skills Beverly learned from her father Ray Zimmer and his Redlands business Toyville, as an Avon representative she enjoyed solving customer's problems which allowed her to be a member of President's Club for most of her 44 years with the company. She was also a lifelong member of the Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed worshiping God, especially with her family. She is survived by her husband, Herman of 56 years; her sons, Steven (Cathy) Hooper, Utah, Paul (Melanie) Challis, Idaho, and James (Karen) Redlands, 9 grand children and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded by a daughter, Mary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mexican Christian Children's Aid (MCCA) an organization started by Beverly's father and supported by her husband for many years. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 17 at The River Christian Reformed Church.
