Stephen K Schoeny

January 17, 1944 - July 19, 2020

Stephen Schoeny, age 76, passed away peacefully at Redlands Community Hospital on Saturday July 18th, 2020. His loving wife Susan, daughter Pam (Pumpkin), and brother Michael were by his side. Steve was born in Pasadena, California, to Lloyd and JoRee Schoeny. He was a long-time resident of Redlands and graduated from Redlands High School in 1962. Steve retired from his career as a certified welder in 2005. He was a 47-year member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, member of the Local 398. Steve was a well-known winning go kart racer "back in the day", competing at tracks in California and Arizona. Steve met Susan on a blind date, at a race in Arizona, in 1990, and in 1991 they were married. They went on to have many adventures together, including hot rodding, boating, and off roadin'. Steve was especially proud of and enjoyed their 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Steve was one of a kind, his sense of humor always constant. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alyn and son Ron. He is survived by his loving wife Susan, daughter Pam (whom he always lovingly referred to as P.J.), brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Windy Schoeny, brother-in-law and sister in law, Paul and Ellen DeLucia, five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many more family and friends who meant so much to him. Steve was so loved and he will be dearly missed. The world lost a beautiful person, but Heaven received a beautiful angel.
