Ali Bozorgzad
January 12, 1975 - February 9, 2022
In the afternoon of Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, Ali Bozorgzad passed away unexpectedly near Parker, Arizona. As we process the shock of this sudden loss, we remember the man he was and give thanks for precious memories we got to share with him. Ali was born on January 12, 1976 in Esfahan, Iran to Abbas Bozorgzad and Sousan Seyedahklaghi. The family welcomed his sister, Anahita, in 1979 and subsequently moved to Tennessee that same year. Later, the family moved to Southern California, where Ali welcomed his first son Ethan in 1994, at the age of 18. Despite his young age, Ali quickly became a devoted father to Ethan. After beginning work in pool maintenance, he started his own company Emerald Bay Pools, which grew into a booming pool design and construction business. His creativity and skill led him to design incredibly beautiful pools for many high-profile clients. Ali met his fiancée Gena in 2008; they welcomed their son Vale in 2011 and their daughter Nila in 2017. Ali’s children were the light of his life and he spent whatever time he could sharing fun adventures with them. They traveled all over the western United States, including many visits to the family’s favorite spot in Yosemite. During his childhood in Tennessee, Ali became an avid fan of the Titans football team. Just this year, he fulfilled his dream of watching the Titans play in Nashville with Vale. Ali loved to go camping and off-roading, and made many great friends within the off-roading community. He was always willing to go out of his way to help others. Ali made friends nearly everywhere he went. He was constantly laughing and cracking jokes. He had the most ridiculous and sometimes outrageous sense of humor, and he never took himself too seriously. His laugh stood out among all others; when you heard Ali laugh, you just knew it was going to be a fun time. He was so spontaneous and had a passion for living life to the fullest. Despite his rowdy exterior, Ali was a softie at heart. He could never turn away an animal in need, and cared lovingly for his dogs. He loved his children fiercely, supporting them in every way he could. He was constantly sharing photos of them because he was so proud of everything they did. You couldn’t spend time with Ali’s family without hearing him tell his kids how much he loved them. Ali admired his parents endlessly. He had a strong bond with his father Abbas, and was devastated when we lost him in September 2021. Ali left us much too soon after. We take what little solace we can in knowing that they are now together at peace. Ali carried on Abbas’ legacy of kindness, generosity, and love. He will stay alive in our hearts as we know he watches over us, always reminding us to live life a little brighter. Ali is survived by his fiancée Gena Ashley; son Ethan (and Kiryn) Bozorgzad; son Vale Bozorgzad; daughter Nila Bozorgzad; mother Sousan Seyedakhlaghi; sister Anahita (and Edgar) Bozorgad and their daughter Cyra; as well as many loving relatives and friends. Services for Ali will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 as he is laid to rest beside his father at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands, CA. A reception will follow at the Edwards Mansion. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
