Vicente Untalan Taitague was born on August 21, 1936 in Agana, Guam to Carlota Untalan Taitague and Jesus Delgado Taitague A.K.A. J.D. Vicente passed away in Loma Linda, California on June 10, 2015.
Vicente married Maria Nevarez Taitague in Calexico, California in 1963. He joined the Army for two years from 1963-1964 and achieved the rank of Specialist 4. Their only child, Benny was born not long after in May of 1964. Vicente then attended and received a B.A. degree in Theology from Pacific Union College. He began his working career as an Orderly at El Centro Regional Hospital and then accepted a position as a teacher at Brawley Campesinos Unidos Day Care Center, where he became the Director for 14 years. In appreciation he received a Certificate of Long Service from Campesinos Unidos. Vicente was a member of the Brawley Seventh-Day Adventist Church for over 40 years.
Vicente will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 52 years and 1 day, Maria Taitague of Brawley, CA; his son, Benny Taitague (Susan) of Highland, CA; 3 grandchildren: Alyssa Hall of Maricopa, AZ, Alex Taitague of Oakland, CA and Carsyn Taitague of Highland, CA; siblings: Irene Lawson of Poway, CA,, WIlliam Taitague of Fredericks, VA, and Rosie Little of Hickory, North Carolina; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Annie.
A Visitation will be held on Monday June 22, 2015 at 6:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Redlands Auditorium, 1000 Roosevelt Rd, Redlands, California. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday June 23, 2015 at 9:45 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California.
