Tony Gerard Christensen was born January 1, 1972 in Washington D.C. to Cheri Mae and Jimmy Porter. On January 1, 1980 Cheri married La Mon D. Christensen. Sadly, Tony passed away in Redlands, California on August 16, 2022.

Tony graduated from Redlands High School where he was a star athlete. Tony obtained his Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Redlands. He spent 20 years as Chief Executive Officer at Cheri's Care, TLC (Tony, LaMon, Cheri) Care Homes which Cheri and LaMon founded in the 90's. Cheri always wanted to help those in need and this she did by helping the most vulnerable persons - "the developmentally disabled". Her passion and determination to succeed was passed onto Tony and he continued to live in her legacy until his unexpected passing.

Tony was baptized at the Mountain View Church of Christ in San Bernardino, CA. This is where he learned to love the Lord and became a loving friend and brother in Christ.

Tony is our beloved son, cousin, dad and friend who will be missed dearly. He was raised in Ferriday, Louisiana with loving care by his grandparents, where they raised Tony to be a loving and caring child. He had no siblings, however, he grew up with his cousins Chuckie, Jean and Donna - whom Tony called his sister. They grew up as brother and sister and they had such great times in Louisiana and California. Tony's mother Cheri and La Mon nurtured Tony to become a great husband, dad and friend.

He will be missed dearly by his daughters Cattrell and Chinira Christensen; Aunt Betty Johnson of Long Beach, Ca; Uncle Don and Marcia Johnson of North Carolina; Cousins: Jean Johnson of Long Beach, CA; Donna Foy of Orange County, CA; Gerald Evans of Covington, Georgia; Wesley Johnson of Maryland and a host of additional Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
