J.B. Whitlock's Obituary
Funeral service for J.B. Whitlock, age 82, of Riverside, California will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 25, 2014 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.
J.B. was born the son of Robert Russell Whitlock and Lela May Daniel Whitlock on November 11, 1931, in Oklahoma City, OK. He died on August 18, 2014 at his home in Riverside, CA.
J.B. grew up in Oklahoma City and moved to California at age 14. Later in life, he met Janet Colbert and they were married in 1980 in Long Beach, California. In 1985, they moved to Choctaw, Oklahoma where they lived until returning to California in 1990. For over thirty years, J.B. was a member of the teamsters union where he worked in warehousing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lela May Whitlock, and four brothers Bill, Robert, Kenneth, and Allan Whitlock.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Whitlock; son, Allen Whitlock and wife Joey; daughter, Debra Mills and husband Mike; grandchildren, Joshua Whitlock, Crystal Richards, and J.B. Whitlock Jr; step-son, Sean Stepp; step-granddaughter, Brandee Stepp; sister, Juanita Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery.
