Henry "Guero" Mendoza passed away on May 27th, 2014. He was 77 years of age. He was born on November 24, 1936 in Riverside, California. He lived many years in Redlands and attended Redlands schools before enlisting in the Army when he was 17 years of age. He served during the Korean Conflict. He had great love for his country, his wife Dolores whom he had been married to for 56 years, his family and the San Francisco Forty-niners. He was a very proud member and Past Commander for the American Legion Philip Marmolejo Post 650 of Redlands. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Eulalia Mendoza; brothers Frank Jr, Albert and Richard; sisters Eleanor Segovia, Virginia Ortega and Helen Gonzales. He is survived by his wife Dolores; his sons Richard and Paul of Temecula; daughter Elizabeth Osterman of Redlands. He has two grandsons Ryan and Colton that he was so proud of. He has one sister Bea Diaz and one brother Ernest Mendoza, both of Redlands. He has numerous nephews and nieces that loved him. On Monday, June 9th visitation will be at 10:00 AM and Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM at Redlands United Church of Christ, 168 Bellevue Ave in Redlands. Graveside Service will be at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:00 PM followed by a Reception at American Legion Post 650, 1532 Church St, Redlands.
