David Charles Criner, of Highland was born in Burlington, Iowa on June 23, 1949 to the late James and Ruth Criner. He lost his battle with cancer on December 3, 2013 in Redlands, California. After graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served from 1957-1965. Dave went on to receive a bachelors of Arts degree from Long Beach State University in 1973. He was employed as a High School Teacher, Contractor and an Artist of wood graphics. Dave was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and loved building and flying radio controlled airplanes. He also enjoined being a WWII buff. Dave will be forever missed by his wife of 42 years, Carol and four loving children; Susan McElheny; Eddie Hanley; Kimberly Samosky; and Kelly Hamilton. He is also survived by his brother James Criner and twelve grandchildren. A Memorial Service at Montecito Memorial Park will be held on Monday, December 16th at 2:00 p.m...
