Charles Lewis Rhoades, Chuck was born in San Bernardino and grew up in Rialto, the youngest of five. He and his son, Geoff, were best of friends and roommates in Redlands.
Taking after his father, Dusty, Chuck was a great golfer. He spent much of his career working in retail golf and at golf courses.
After health issues forced him to step away from golf, he spent much of his time restoring a 1970's era VW bug. This labor of love led him to car shows, with the Bug frequently winning awards. Attending car shows brought him a new group of like-minded friends, with whom he enjoyed many weekends.

Chuck is survived by oldest brother Robert (Maryann), sister Janice (Sophie), brother Jack (Linda), and sister-in-law Mary Beth. His older brother Bill passed in 1978. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
