Bart Thomas Jr. 84 of Cherry Valley passed away July 30, 2020 in Yucaipa, CA.
He was born August 3, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio. He resided in California for over 60 years.
Bart enlisted and honorably served his country in the U. S. Air Force. Part of his service was overseas in Guam. At the time of his discharge his rank was Staff Sergeant.
Bart was of the Catholic Faith.
He was employed by Southern California Gas Co. for 31 years. At the time of his retirement he was a marketing representative.
Bart will be remembered as a connoisseur of all foods Italian and he relished cooking for family and friends using recipes passed to him from family in Ohio. He delighted in trips to Las Vegas where he could be found playing Keno for hours on end. In his retirement golf was an added pastime that he and his wife Lucy enjoyed together. He was also a participant of many a lively game of Hand & Foot!
Bart had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anita and Bart Thomas, grandson Albert Montenegro and son Bart Thomas III.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33yrs. Lucille, daughters Patricia Montenegro, Anita Thomas and son Anthony Thomas.
He is also survived by his dear stepmother Stephana Thomas, known only as "mom" to Bart; along with his sisters Anna Marie Melfo, Marianna Morgan and brother Milan Thomas, all of Ohio. Also, many beloved grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
